Position Purpose & Summary
Considered experienced professionals in the supply & inventory planning space with comprehensive and thorough knowledge to use under some oversight in conducting moderately complex activities. Responsible for coordinating multiple products or sites with medium impact on working capital, and all planning horizons. This includes: supply planning and inventory planning, process development, planning & execution, customer & client interaction / business partnership, systems/data management, reporting & analysis.
1.45% SUPPLY AND INVENTORY PLANNING
? With some direction, maintains data relevant to supply and inventory planning activities, including capacity, constraint, logistics, supplier, master and location data
? With some oversight, create the requirements plan as input to the long term supply plan for assigned products or locations, including demand plan and inventory inputs to determine net supply needs
? Create the long term supply plan with some oversight from manager for assigned products or locations.
? With some oversight, review network capacity capabilities and trends with Master Production Planners.
? With some oversight, provide potential solutions for the business to review when available capacity does not meet requirements.
? Reviews capacity on a daily basis for assigned products or locations and develops plans to service customers through any shortages. Collaborates with all relevant stakeholders in the process using a substantial understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures.
? With little oversight, Generate and execute cycle stock and safety stock plans for the assigned products or locations, utilizing the approved supply plan inputs
? With some oversight, create the finished goods inventory plans for assigned product(s) or locations, and provide for business review
? With some oversight, create orders for network distribution moves and communicate to logistics for execution
? With minimal guidance, manage inventory levels to expected volume and working capital levels and provide solutions when business parameters change requiring a change to inventory expectations
2.25% INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING
? With some support, provide Supply and Inventory Plans for assigned products or locations into the CIBP Process
? Uses through knowledge to execute follow up action items from CIBP meetings as assigned with minimal assistance
3.30% BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT/METRICS
? Provides input in setting Supply and Inventory Planning metrics targets
? Analyze actual measure vs. target measures for assigned product(s) or locations
? Provides input and insight in developing action plans to close gaps between target and actual measures
? Provides continual Supply and Inventory Planning process improvement input
? Provides assistance in root cause analysis to identify and correct supply and inventory deviations
Education, Experience, Skills
1.Minimum Required Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, economics, marketing, finance, accounting, statistics, computer science or other related subjects
? Fluent in Chinese and good level of English (verbal and written)
? A minimum of 2 years in production scheduling or supply chain planning , or +5 years of transferable experience in other Supply-Chain functions
? Familiarity or participated in any planning processes, e.g. S&OP or IBP(Integrated Business Planning)
? Experience with working in a multinational/-cultural environment, or a large (matrix) organization
? Excellent understanding on tools/models supporting production scheduling and detail planning processes
? Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, particularly the statistically analytical functionality
? Team player with good communication skills
? Basic knowledge of supply chain processes
? Understanding of production processes
? Ability to set priorities and organize his/her work.
? Ability to positively respond to change and seek solutions
? Advacate for planning and operation processes, but also be agile and available to quickly act against any emergency
? Be comfortable with certain level of independency but not compromising on effective team work
? Very limited travels except for some trips to headoffice and other sites for training and cross-function meetings
? Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Master’s degree in related areas is preferred
? The credential of CPIM(Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is a strong addition
? Other certificates in supply chain management related subjects
? Experience of planning and operation in multi-site supply network is preffered
? Experience as user of SAP or other ERP systems
? Knowledge of agricultural related supply chains and Integrated Supply Chain process
? Good use of Excel VBA or other programing languages for developing forecasting tools/models
? Knowledge or experience in scenario planning
? Experience in project management
