Position Purpose & Summary
Responsible for short-term production scheduling for the refinery and packaging line of specialty liquid oil on a daily and weekly basis , both at SKU levels, with low/medium impact on working capital and customer satisfaction, and also plays a supporting role in Supply Review of IBP(Integrated Business Planning).
Considered an emerging high-potential talent in the supply chain planning space with developing and basic knowledge to use under some oversight.
1.45% : Short-term Daily Production Scheduling
Responsible for creating valid daily production schedules for the refinery and packaging line of specialty liquid oil, for coming 1 week at SKU-levels by daily buckets with the inputs from stock levels, coming orders, sales forecast and demand control.
? Build up and keep the production schedules as part of integrated supply chain operations
? Execute the schedules by regular and effective communications with cross-functional stakeholders, particularly plant operation, contract execution/delivery scheduling, and material management.
? Monitor the consumption of crude oil in pipeline and communicate with master planner, and arrange receiving inbound crude oil
? Monitor the consumption of finished goods stock and execute agreed inventory policy
? Weekly review or daily review if needed e.g. any abnormal or urgent cases, of local capacity and material readiness within 1 weeks by daily buckets
? Closely work in demand control process to balance order fulfill rate and reasonable inventory
? Resolve scheduling-related issues or customer complaints related to short supplys and make proposals that are acceptable in most cases
Other activities related to production scheduling, e.g. arrange inspection/QS products, arrange the repacking work of some non-performing stocks allowed by FSQR
2.20%: Detail Weekly Planning
Responsible for developing a rolling supply plan of capacity/intentory, on a weekly frequency, for coming 1 month at SKU-levels and by weekly buckets, through analyzing/matching detail weekly demand plan and coordinating/validating with local supply chain point.
? Improve the supply reliability (performance to plan) by developing deep knowledge about the local supply chain point which has impact on validity of supply plan, and holding self/others accountable, e.g. Commercial Execution, Plant Operation, FSQR, Delivery Scheduling, Oil Origination, Materials Management, Warehouse, Transportations & Logistics, etc.
? Weekly reviews of local capacity within 1 months by weekly buckets
? With some oversight, manages capacity, sets stock levels and monitors inventory health in relation to customer demands for speciality liquid oil products in one site. When needed, contributes to decision for how and when to modify the supply plan.
Makes plans in case of supply gaps, aiming to come up with acceptable proposals that minimize costs and impacts to customers. Involves all relevant stakeholders in communication and execution process.
3.15%: Support Role in Supply Point Review and Supply Review of IBP
Provides input and support to Master Planner in Supply Point Review and Supply Review of IBP. Activities include.
? Weekly communication with Master Planner to reconcile short-term plans with long-term direction
? Review performance of supply chain and plant operations
? Identify gaps, scenario modeling, and gap-closing proposals
? Prepare the documents Master Planner needs for conducting an effective Supply Review
? Attend Supply Point Review and Supply Review meeting as a need basis
4.10%: Data/Tools Management, Reporting & Analysis.
? Responsible for maintaining and updating the data/tools related to scheduling & planning within his/her time horizon
? Maintains the relationships that support accurate scheduling & planning, and involves in review/improvement for other databases related to shipments and inventory management items.
? Tracks, generates and analyzes some performance reports by leveraging our data/tools. Implements actions to improve best practices across teams.
5.10% : Supply Chain Projects and Assignments
Applies a basic understanding of supply chain planning practices and knowledge to identify areas of improvement, participate in/make suggestions or provide support to improvement projects, e.g.
? Assessment/development/upgrade of scheduling and planning tools fit for our needs.
? Evaluation and optimization of planning process and techniques/models
? Develops/streamlines supply chain operations processes and other common cross-functional work processes
May participate in other assignments identified for better meeting future supply chain operations, or needed for individual development purpose
Education, Experience, Skills
? Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, economics, marketing, finance, accounting, statistics, computer science or other related subjects
? Fluent in Chinese and good level of English (verbal and written)
? A minimum of 2 years in production scheduling or supply chain planning , or +5 years of transferable experience in other Supply-Chain functions
? Familiarity or participated in any planning processes, e.g. S&OP or IBP(Integrated Business Planning)
? Experience with working in a multinational/-cultural environment, or a large (matrix) organization
? Excellent understanding on tools/models supporting production scheduling and detail planning processes
? Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, particularly the statistically analytical functionality
? Team player with good communication skills
? Basic knowledge of supply chain processes
? Understanding of production processes
? Ability to set priorities and organize his/her work.
? Ability to positively respond to change and seek solutions
? Advacate for planning and operation processes, but also be agile and available to quickly act against any emergency
? Be comfortable with certain level of independency but not compromising on effective team work
? Very limited travels except for some trips to headoffice and other sites for training and cross-function meetings
? Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Master’s degree in related areas is preferred
? The credential of CPIM(Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is a strong addition
? Other certificates in supply chain management related subjects
? Experience of planning and operation in multi-site supply network is preffered
? Experience as user of SAP or other ERP systems
? Knowledge of agricultural related supply chains and Integrated Supply Chain process
? Good use of Excel VBA or other programing languages for developing forecasting tools/models
? Knowledge or experience in scenario planning
? Experience in project management
